English Language Learners (Grades 7 to 9):
This program is formally known as English as a Second Language.
Parkview is very proud of its English Language Learner program. Not only does it provide focused, targeted instruction to suit the individual needs of its students, the participating students also lend a unique diversity to our whole school.
Students are placed in a dedicated ELL classroom for all their programming. Only when ready, are they integrated into regular classes. Parkview's ELLprogram is full of success stories and we have proudly watched many graduates continue their lives in Canada or return home with a great education.
Community Mental Health:
The Community Health Program is a specially designed program for children who are elementary or juniour high aged, and who have been diagnosed with a severe disorder that impacts learning. The program is supported by Alberta Health Services staff, which help the students move forward in their schooling.
